We believe teaching is not confined to four walls, which is why we use a range of different spaces to engage students in their learning. Our ongoing building program continues to provide first class modern educational facilities.

St Francis and Clonnard Buildings

The St Francis and Clonard buildings offer multipurpose learning spaces combined with breakout rooms, enabling flexible learning strategies that keep students engaged.

Science laboratories

Students conduct a range of scientific experiments in our six science laboratories. Our labs feature student benches equipped with the latest experimental resources.

Performing Arts Centre

The Performance Arts Centre boasts three specialised music classrooms and a fully equipped performance space. It is housed in the refurbished convent of the Sisters of Our Lady Help of Christians.

The Creative Hub (opening 2025)
Currently under construction, this innovative building, which features large windows that overlook bushland, will house the College’s Visual Arts studios, Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) facilities, and general classrooms.

Specialised Areas

Iona Chapel

A special space for staff and students to reflect and pray in groups or individually. It is named for Iona Abbey, a historic Scottish monastery.

The Farm

Students learn animal husbandry and horticultural skills from our farm animals, garden plots and hot house systems.

Brauer Hall

Brauer Hall is the site of many college events, including ceremonies, recitals, community gatherings, and the St Columba’s Art Show.

Grand Entrance Archway

The grand entrance archway has welcomed students for over a century and forms a symbolic point for departure during our Year 12 graduation ceremonies.

Henson Sports Precinct

Named for our founding Principal, the area features a multi-purpose sports oval, cricket nets, outdoor gym equipment and basketball/netball courts.

Outdoor Education Space

This grassed outdoor-covered area is equipped with a digital public address system enabling outdoor events and performances.

Cloistered quadrangle

Since our inception, our quad has been integral to College life. The beautiful sandstone was quarried on site and has provided generations of students with the sense of being 'embraced' by the natural stone.

Columba Courtyard

The Columba Courtyard is the venue for outdoor College events and a popular gathering spot for students at recess and lunch breaks due to grassy spaces, active areas, and access to the canteen.

St Columba's Field

St Columba’s field is a purpose built facility with extensive grass surrounds for rectangular field sports like soccer, rugby league, rugby union, touch football and hockey.
