Students at St Columba’s learn from a team of professional and supportive teachers.

Our teachers are highly skilled and passionate about providing the best learning opportunities for every student. Our commitment to best teaching and learning practice is supported by an extensive professional development program for all staff.

St Columba’s provides students with a high quality education that prepares them for their future.

It is the quality of our teachers that makes all the difference.

Our College leaders, teachers and support staff know what it takes to develop a love of learning.

They meet each student where they are on their learning journey, and challenge and support them to become the best learner they can be.

Our teachers are lifelong learners themselves

The majority of Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese teachers have more than five years of teaching experience and hold two or more professional qualifications. We invest in continuous staff training, through our own in-house professional learning programs, to coaching, to hosting guest speakers and sharing best practice with other school systems and industry partners.

We encourage personal development, with a significant number of our teachers holding a Masters Degree and many more in the process of obtaining additional qualifications. Our support staff are also very experienced with outstanding skills and in many cases, specialised training.

When I think about St Columba's Catholic College I immediately think of the word home. As a teacher at the college, I feel safe, loved and special here because it is, in many senses, a home. I strive every day with my peers, to make our students feel the same way. We want our students to feel secure, build meaningful relationships and memories and leave us with a strong sense of confidence and personal integrity. We look on in wonder as they mature to be some of the kindest, most honest and just people we have ever encountered. What a privilege it is to work here.

Working at St Columba’s Catholic College with students who are inquisitive and friendly, with a wonderful sense of humour is an adventure in learning. The College is truly a gem in the Blue Mountains. A welcoming school with rigorous academic programs and dedicated teachers, its Catholic identity enhances spiritual growth and student wellbeing. In a learning-growth environment the students give their ‘yes’ to thrive academically and demonstrate ‘faith in action’ to make a unique difference in their space. Visitors entering the College gates know they are in a special place.

Rob Badman, Teacher

I love being part of a school that values each student's unique God-given gifts and potential. Students are equipped and challenged to excel academically, while also being nurtured in areas of creativity, character, and faith. The supportive environment, caring staff, and authentic sense of community empower students to thrive and grow into confident, compassionate, informed individuals. It's a joy to be part of a school that nurtures the whole person.

Kelli Brough, Teacher

We are a vibrant, inclusive faith community where students are invited to actively engage with the Gospel and contemporary issues. By encouraging thoughtful reflection and respectful dialogue, we empower students to connect their faith to real-world challenges, nurturing compassionate, critical thinkers committed to justice, love and service. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus, we support our students to live as thoughtful, active participants in the world.

Greg Clune, Teacher

At St Columba's, we nurture individuals to reach their full potential. Our collective goal is to unlock their talents, inspiring them to become the best versions of themselves grounded in social justice. We believe in a holistic approach to education, focusing on the development of the whole child – their intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.

Sarah McCauley, Teacher

St Columba's is a caring and supportive community, one which gives everyone a chance to grow and to achieve success. We are passionate about education but also about developing young people who can make the world a better place and the future brighter. It is a privilege to be able to share and enjoy this journey with our students.
