From authors and allegories to costumes and cakes, students at St Columba's College, Springwood, spent a week celebrating everything they love about reading and writing.
The festival of literature was an opportunity to share the joy of reading, explore different forms of writing, and pay tribute to book characters. The celebration culminated with a dress-up day, picnic lunch, and bookthemed cake competition.
Author Will Kostakis spent March 29 at the college conducting a workshop for gifted writers in years 8 to 11, who spent three hours crafting their own literary pieces. The college's Year 12 Extension English 2 students also worked with the author getting advice for their HSC works.
All money raised during the week will go to Project Compassion.
