Uniform Shop

The school uniform is available for purchase only from the school Uniform Shop. The shop is located at the front of the main building to the left of the archway and ramp.

Uniform Requirements

Uniform and Grooming

  • The full correct uniform is worn each day.
  • Boys’ shirts are tucked in at all times during terms 2 & 3 and when wearing the Blazer at formal functions. Boys’ shirts are worn out in Terms 1 & 4.
  • The blazer will be worn as the outside garment during Terms 2 and 3 and at all formal occasions.
  • T-shirts of any colour are NOT to be visible under and/or below the blouse or shirt.
  • Runners/joggers are not to be worn (except on Sports days or during PDHPE practical lessons)
  • Only the regulation St Columba’s cap or hat is to be worn. The cap is not to be worn in class. When outside of class the cap is not to be worn in the back to front fashion.
  • It is compulsory for all students to wear the College hat or cap for all outside activities.
  • All students are encouraged to wear sunscreen whenever they are in the College yard.
  • St Columba's College school bag is compulsory for Years 7, 8, 9 & 10. We encourage students in Years 11 & 12 to purchase the College bag, however at this time the bag will remain optional but must be plain navy blue or black. No handbags are to be used.
  • Excessive make up is not acceptable. A light SPF foundation may be applied for a natural look.
  • No coloured nail polish is allowed.
  • No acrylic nails, French tips or gel coloured nails to be worn.
  • Visible tattoos are not permissible.

  • Junior navy College shorts (Not Rep Team shorts)
  • Navy blue or white polo shirt with College crest
  • During terms 2 and 3, all students must wear full College tracksuit over shorts and shirt
  • If cold during terms 1 and 4, students may wear the current tracksuit jacket / full tracksuit if necessary
  • Jogger style lace-up sport shoes
  • White sports socks
Compulsory (Terms 2 and 3)
  • Full College tracksuit is compulsory for all girls with the polo shirt and shorts to be worn under the tracksuit
Representative Teams
  • All students playing Rep sports must be attired in the full College sport uniform. In winter students must wear the full College tracksuit to and from the venue
Girls Years 11-12
  • Full College uniform to be worn
Boys Years 7-10
  • Junior navy College shorts (Not Rep Team shorts)
  • Navy blue or white polo shirt with College crest
  • During terms 2 and 3, all students must wear full College tracksuits over shorts and shirts
  • If cold during terms 1 and 4, students may wear the current tracksuit jacket if necessary

  • Neat, tidy and conservative in nature. No extremes of fashion are permitted - all hairstyles to be of a conventional nature.
  • Students are to consult with the Assistant Principal before making any significant changes to their hairstyle, colour of hair, or any other change to the hair. Failure to follow this procedure will result in student withdrawal from classes to address the issue.
  • No extremes in cut, colour or fashion. Hair must be of a natural colour and be off the face. This applies to both males and females.
  • Students hair must not exceed the collar in length,must be neat and tidy and off the face.  Gel/wax must NOT be excessive.
  • All students to have hair tied back, with scrunchies, ribbons or elastics. (Scrunchies, ribbons, pins, clips must be navy blue).
  • Faces must be clean-shaven; beards and moustaches are not permitted for students in Years 7-11.

Piercing

  • Ear: One stud or standard sleeper (plain silver or gold only) may be worn in the lower earlobe.
  • No jewel/coloured stones, spacers etc. to be worn.
  • Other piercings: No visible body piercings are to be evident. Tongue rings/studs are strictly prohibited. Keeping a hole open will not be accepted as an excuse. This means that ‘clear’ studs are NOT to be worn as they are visible.
  • No band aids are to be used to cover piercings.
  • Sleeper: (plain silver or gold only) - (not bigger than 10mm in diameter).
  • Stud: (plain silver or gold only) - (not bigger than 5mm in diameter).
  • One ring only is permitted.
  • Bracelets, anklets, leather thonging (around neck, ankles or wrists) are unacceptable.
  • A single fine neck chain may be worn provided it has a crucifix or religious symbol attached.

  Failure to follow these procedures will result in student withdrawal from classes to address the issue.

  • All articles of clothing are to be marked with the student’s name.
  • Articles of uniform are only available from the College Uniform Shop. Some preloved clothing is available.

The College Uniform Shop is open on Thursdays between 8am and 2pm.
